At ConnectedGroup we believe that culture comes first. We expect high performance from all of our people but, key to our ongoing
success, is maintaining a supportive environment, where respect for colleagues and a sense of enjoyment are paramount.
ConnectedGroup is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
We work to the values of being Candid, Creative, Connected and Caring, both internally and externally in order to meet our mission statement
of 'raising the recruitment industry standard by consistently delivering on our ConnectedPledge'.
The key elements of our incentive scheme operate as follows:
We have a track record of experienced recruiters joining us from both larger and smaller firms who earn more (due to an exceptional scheme) and generate record levels of revenue (due to the platform and culture). In 2018 we surveyed our staff who joined us with at least 1 year of previous industry experience and who had worked for us for at least 12 months - over 80% of them had both billed the same or more (on average over 40% more) and earned more (on average more than a 60% increase in net earnings).
In 2023 we repeated the survey which showed that, based on the same criteria, 92% had earned the same or more with an average of a 54% increase in billing. That 92% had all earned more with an average increase of 43% in net earnings.
We have a defined approach to leadership as a skill in its own right. Our leaders are all highly knowledgeable in their own industry sector or function as well as in recruitment and executive search, so they are ideally placed to help both clients and candidates achieve their objectives.
Our leaders are the front line of our business as direct revenue generators and not hidden away in offices or behind spreadsheets, so they intrinsically know what makes great recruiters and how to develop them. .
We have always believed that a person's revenue record is only half of what makes a good manager. We look for leaders who are balanced, supportive and inspiring and those who walk our values consistently.
ConnectedGroup operates with the heart of a family business and the mindset of a corporate. We are always aspiring to provide the right tools that ensure our teams have what they need to deliver the best possible service to our clients and candidates. These include:
In addition to the framework outlined here that feeds into our culture, we endeavour to support our staff with other policies and practices that make ConnectedGroup a great place to work:
You can learn more about our social purpose here but what does this mean to our employees?
Whether it is through our sponsorship of under-privileged children, the low-bono recruitment work we do for Hong Kong charities, our Recruit4Good platform, our support of The Fair Employment Foundation, or our role as a connector of knowledge and resources in the NGO world, our goal is to give our employees confidence. Confidence that every day that they come to work, every hour they invest and every dollar they earn, the business is providing value beyond just making profits. We don't expect our staff to invest their personal time in these initiatives but, of course they are welcome to and we will support them in championing their own causes wherever possible.
In April 2023, ConnectedGroup received official certification and 96% of our team voted that we are a Great Place To Work™.
