Our client, an esteemed regional corporate bank, is looking for a VP- Cash Management Operations and Deposits to lead a team of 15 people and this incumbent will be reports to the Deputy Head of Operations directly.


  • Exercise inherent and delegated authority to manage deposits, the cash counter activities and teller functions including release authority on T24 system. Ensure perfect control on Cash; accurate, timely, efficient and cost-effective processing of in/outward clearing cheque, direct debit/credit settlement, FPS and Batch cheque issue via MIDS system
  • Responsible for all time deposits related transactions, HKICL's paper & electronic clearing and account maintenance approvals, which include the authorization in T24 system on transactions, account opening & closing
  • Ensure the operation of the group complies with all relevant regulatory requirements and banking practice, such as like Codes of Banking Practices, Deposit Protection Scheme Ordinance, Customer Data Protection and Personal Data and Privacy Ordinance, etc. Perform necessary transaction sanction screening and report to AML Officer on large amount transaction or any identified suspicious transaction. Establish and implement control and security measures to protect the Bank from any operations risks
  • Manage to establish and update the group's procedural manual and guidelines. Conduct study briefing to the group members to ensure their understanding and correct observance of revised rules and procedures
  • Keep abreast of industry changes, AML & KYC regulations on account opening, HKICL circulars and to respond with appropriate actions
  • Supervise and coach the group members' performance, as well as develop the succession plans and provide learning & development opportunities for them


  • University Graduate in Business Administration or Finance is preferrable
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in banking with significant exposure in cash management operations with at least 5 years of experience at managerial level
  • Sound knowledge on related requirements and regulations of the regulatory bodies
  • Strategic, innovative and analytical; able to deal with changes and being a change driver
  • Excellent communication and people management skills; able to make sound judgement and give clear directions to the team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
