Senior Finance Manager (Education)

Our client is one of the leading international education organizations in Hong Kong. They are now looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join the senior management team.

Position Responsibilities

• Report to the Group CFO and supervise a Finance team
• Support the General Manager in the key strategic initiatives of the Finance department - like taking lead on streamlining and re-engineering the finance end-to-end processes to enhance its efficiency
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial information / management reports to senior management
• Provide financial advice, recommendations and budgetary support including spending projection and CAPEX planning for management teams
• Lead the annual budget exercise and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of annual business plan and on-going monitoring of budget
• Oversee the statutory audit and ensure compilation of financial statements
• Maintain the accuracy of accounting information, validity of payments, daily operations and procurements for aligning with Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP) and relevant internal guidelines
• Assist on tax planning and compliance review
• Develop, implement changes, and monitor compliance of FPP
• Act as a business partner to proactively drive improvement of process/system supporting financial planning, budgeting and controls & compliance in order to streamline operations while maintaining effective internal control
• Identify, design and implement changes to financial reporting systems to improve the quality and effectiveness of financial reporting within Finance department

Position Requirements

• University degree and/or Master in Finance or Accounting
• Professional qualification of HKICPA or equivalent is a MUST
• Minimum 15 years' relevant post-qualification experience of which at least 8 years are in management position
• Prior working experience in public sector/ NGO is a must
• Solid track records of taking lead on streamlining and re-engineering the finance process as well as various system implementations
• Sound commercial acumen with strong competencies and experience in Finance in a multi-national organization
• Strong sense of integrity and corporate governance is a must
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills; able to persuade others and communicate well across functions and levels
• Highly organized with superior planning and execution skills
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organization skills, able to work independently with an eye on details
• Fluent in Cantonese and English is a MUST
