Our client is a global lifestyle designer footwear company, and they are seeking a high caliber Regional Senor Merchandising Manager to join their regional team in Hong Kong.
Reporting into the Regional Head of Merchandising, the incumbent will be responsible for,
- Integrating consumer research and insights into merchandising and product category plan for the Asia Pacific region
- Creating compelling targeted consumer-centric briefs and product ranges, with a sound and strategic regional minded merchandising architecture for the Asia Pacific region
- Creating best-in-class product assortment and effectively managing the product lifecycle management and product roadmap
- Monitoring in-season global performance, new product introductions and carryover lines to articulate actionable strategies
- Building product range plans and delivering products that drives better efficiency, margin and sustainable EBITDA growth
- Conducting extensive market and competitive research on retail landscape and interpreting market trends and competitive insights at the Regional and Country levels
- Building detailed product presentations and briefs to be presented to respective Global and Regional teams
- Tracking and maintaining data and conducting accurate and concurrent category and conduct analysis
- Be the key contact point for the selected category with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing product offering and assortment strategy and supporting country merchandising teams with product specifications
Successful candidates should possess:
- Bachelor degree holder
- 8-12 years' experience in lifestyle or sports retail category management and merchandising, of which at least 4 years footwear merchandising focus
- Passionate in Footwear merchandising, category management and/or product development
- Strategic yet very hands-on, and able to work with limited time and resources
- Knowledge of the product critical path from concept, design, and development to the GTM process
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence without direct authority
- Proven ability to conducting quantitative and qualitative researches and analysis related to product, classifications, market/competitors, consumers, and channels of distribution
- Excellent presentation presenting skills and comfortable in public speaking
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical and strategic problem solving skills
- Advance business level in Excel and data analytics
- Natively fluent in English, Chinese is a plus
