Our client is a provider and manufacturer of premium quality international brands of meat and fine food and beverages backed by a Chinese investment company who wants to set up their international hub in Hong Kong. They are looking for a high caliber Sales and Marketing Director to build a small team and develop sustainable key account and on-trade channels for Asia markets with Hong Kong as a start

This person is responsible to, and not limited to:

  • Develop long-term strategy on the multi-categories of brands based on business performance and opportunities
  • Manage account, customer and channel priorities including online and offline channels
  • Deliver persuasive strategy presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary contact with retailers, and manage, monitor and measure business plan and performance different sales channels
  • Make skillful people decisions balanced between the needs of the business, the employee and driving company's values and behaviours, as well to monitor and measure performance of team members, and develop effective talent develop plans accordingly
  • Manage the implementation and execution of Brand strategies with team and stakeholders, and drives ownership of results
  • Build brand awareness and act as brand champion and conveys the history and success of the Brands at all times

Successful candidate should possess:

  • Diploma holder in Food Science, Business or other related disciplines
  • Must have at least 5 years track record in business development and key account management within the meat trading business
  • 8-12 years' experience in sales and marketing functions within reputable FMCG companies managing multiple brands in Hong Kong is a must, some multi-countries experience would be ideal
  • Solid commercial experience and team leadership experience with thorough industry marketing practices
  • Ability to build and sustain effective, results-producing teams, within the country, across business functions, and with business partners
  • Ability to anticipate and understand market forces impacting the business, identify and prioritise actions to take and ability to compel the business to act and react strategically and timely to environment challenges
  • Ability to create, control, and maintain financial and/or business analyses, including budgets
  • Persuasive advocate with capacity to build consensus, drive action, and produce favorable results
  • Proven track record in developing team and new business channels with limited resources
  • Highly resourceful, self-motivated, positive, adaptable with entrepreneurial and can-do mindset
  • Very comfortable with adjusting business direction and targets according to market and consumer needs
  • Excellent oral and written communicator in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a must
  • Immediately available is highly preferrable
  • Candidates with less experience can be considered as Manager
