Our client, a well-established global medical devices company, is searching for a Marketing Director to join their Asia regional office. The successful candidate will define and lead strategic initiatives to meet business objectives for revenue, growth, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction. He/she will have an unparalleled ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with key internal stakeholders and must be comfortable in a leadership role that demands clear communication, adaptability, influence, and a fluid intersection of strategy and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, development, and delivery of marketing strategies for the business across the region in Asia
  • Drive and manage upstream marketing activities to address business needs
  • Design and implement Go-To-Market strategies to address offering needs and drive revenue for multiple markets and channels
  • Drive comprehensive understanding of customer needs and priorities and using this to provide accurate and actionable customer voice to guide decision making
  • Identify KOLs and work with the team to develop influence strategy
  • Partner closely with global teams to define and monitor the strategic direction for product platforms to develop products suitable for the region
  • Help guide product development and commercial decisions through strategic alignment and data analysis
  • Responsible for driving medical affairs strategy for assigned portfolio in alignment with company objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years' of Marketing experience within the Life Sciences and/or Medical Device industry; at least 5 years of Asia regional experience
  • Strong leadership skills are essential with a minimum of 8 years' of experience leading teams directly. This leader will need to identify priorities, motivate a team of direct reports, and inspire cross-functional partners
  • Ability to achieve tangible results by working cross-functionally and collaboratively
  • Experience and proficiency with upstream and downstream marketing tasks and processes
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Demonstrate track record of marketing leadership including upstream marketing, project management, new product launch, business plan development, and customer engagement initiatives etc.
  • Frequent travel required
