A well-known multinational manufacturing company is currently looking for a Project Manager to lead and drive its global procurement and supply chain projects. This is a newly created role that comes with a global scope; initially it is going to be an individual contributor position although it is highly likely the role will manage a small team in the near future.
Key responsibilities include understanding the company's global and regional high-level strategies and goals, and subsequently being the key person in designing, planning for and overseeing the effective implementation and completion of global projects related to procurement and/or supply chain. Examples of the scope of these projects will include cost-saving initiatives and improving procurement processes. The role requires frequent collaboration with senior stakeholders across various department and locations globally.
The successful candidate will be a strong project manager with experience leading regional or global projects. Ideally you will have some prior exposure to procurement, supply chain or related areas, although operational procurement experience is not mandatory. It will be ideal if you have worked in manufacturing or related industries.
Full proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
