An up-and-coming outdoor retail group is looking for a Leader to manage their small Asia Pacific regional team and take the business to the next level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the company's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
  • Oversee the company's financial performance, investments and other business ventures
  • Provide strategic advice to the board and Top Management so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company's future
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
  • Formulate and implement both long-term and short-term objectives for the Company for growing sales revenue and profit, sustaining a healthy financial bottom line, maintaining a leading market position, and taking up social responsibility
  • Improve the organization structure and process of different aspects including but not limited to Sales and Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, Logistics, Talent Acquisition and Retention to ensure a cohesive working synergy in the management team for the Company growth
  • Partner with Headquarter for the development of different lines of the Brand
  • Build up efficient team and provide leadership in steering the Company to achieve its missions and objectives
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of the team providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with business partners and headquarters
  • Explore new business opportunities by expanding the business portfolio, developing new distribution network and markets according to brand philosophy and image;
  • Ensure the brand is well represented in all the markets by following the brand guidelines
  • Represent the Company to attend all public events to arouse brand awareness for both business and social responsibility purposes
  • Establish effective communication channels with Headquarter and other companies for regular and consistent information exchange

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Management or related disciplines; MBA preferable
  • 12-16 years of P&L, sales and brand management experience within the sporting goods or sports fashion retail industry
  • Proven track record in developing and managing retail business through partnering with distributors and wholesales across Asia Pacific
  • Outdoor enthusiast with strong understanding of sports and lifestyle brands trending within Asia Pacific
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative, inquisitive, resourceful, confident and humble challenge lover and team player with strong cultural acuity
  • Process superb strategic business planning, communications, organizing, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate finance and performance management principles
  • Strong leadership qualities and decision making ability
  • Ready to take challenges and deal with ambiguity and difficult situations with high independence
  • Natively fluent in English with proficiency in Mandarin
  • Frequent traveling will be expected (around 50% APAC/global travel)
  • This role will be Singapore base
