Finance Director (Hospitality)

Our client is a leading global hospitality group with international presence. They are looking for a Finance Director to join their global team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the General Manager and lead a team of 20 Finance professionals
  • Supervise the monthly and yearly financial statement closing process of the Group, review monthly financial reports and liaise with the auditors to ensure the proper preparation of the Group's result announcement as well as annual and interim reports
  • Prepare monthly consolidated accounts and management accounts with a tight deadline
  • Prepare budget & forecast and to ensure proper and effective cost control
  • Review and update the policies and procedures of the Group to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations
  • Review hotel's balance sheet accounts reconciliations to ensure that the accounts are properly reconciled and to ensure reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis
  • Address operation issues and ensure compliance with corporate laws, tax laws and listing rules
  • Work closely with the department heads to achieve the hotel and departmental revenue and profit targets
  • Ensure internal control system is in place to protect owners' assets and revenue
  • Participate in pre-opening projects and other ad hoc assignments from senior management

Position Requirements

  • Degree Holder in Finance or Accounting related discipline, with an internationally recognized accounting qualification is essential
  • Minimum 15 years of all-rounded Finance experiences in sizable multinational corporations
  • Prior hospitality/ property experiences is a definite advantage
  • Strong leadership skills with high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Solid experience in preparing financial plans with budget/ forecasting and analytics
  • Team player, self-initiated, flexible; works well under pressure of multiple / concurrent and tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of internal and external clients
  • Strong interpersonal and communicational skills with both verbal and written in English and Chinese/Putonghua
