Director of Institutional Advancement - Higher Education

Our client, one of the larger higher education institutions in Hong Kong is searching for their Director of Institutional Advancement, a dynamic and highly competent professional to lead and grow the Development Office.

This person will be dedicated to strengthening the University's strategic engagement and institutional advancement, planning, promoting, and executing initiatives, as well as enhancing relationships with external and internal stakeholders to advance the University's vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into senior leadership and leading a large team, this person will assume the overall management of the department and be required to:

• Enhance the fundraising capacity to advance the institutional goals through the design of programs, and development of fundraising projects and activities

• Enhance relationships with existing and prospective individual and corporate donors in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas; and realise their support, whilst ensuring close communication and sharing of progress in the programs supported by them

• Outreach and expand the University's networks with key/influential stakeholders, institutions, and associations in the community

• Ensure the setup of systems that allow for ongoing stewardship and effective donation administration

Requirements:

• Bachelor´s degree in Marketing, Communications, Management or relevant

• 15+ years of managerial experience including 10 years at senior management level in fundraising and related roles (ideally in academia, sizable and complex corporates, and NGOs)
• Extensive networks within the business and philanthropic community in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas.
• Proven records for cultivation and realization of support for advancing institutional goals and objectives

• Passion for institutional advancement

• Excellent interpersonal, communications and engagement skills,

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese, and Putonghua is required.
