Business Analyst, Corporate Strategy & Development (MNC Retail)
Our client is a US Listed leading player in retail and wholesale sector. We are seeking a talented individual to join them as a Business Analyst in their Corporate Strategy & Development to work closely with the Regional team.
Position Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Group Senior Strategy Director
- Responsible for providing support to the corporate strategy, development and M&A team in Asia, through high quality, very accurate, and timely analysis of companies, market sectors, and countries
- Perform analysis that used to inform executive briefings, facilitate target/partner identification, support deal negotiation, and create business models
- Industry coverage: retail pharmacy, health and beauty brands, pharmaceutical wholesale, e-commerce and digital health
- Responsible for self-managing a regular cycle of fortnightly news reporting on China, a quarterly corporate reporting cycle and half year updates on market landscapes
- Prepare insightful 'white papers' on topical news items, to keep the company's stakeholders fully advised on relevant subjects
- Assist with the various ad-hoc projects across the team (e.g. data analysis as part of financial due diligence on M&A targets)
- Lead and support strategic and innovation projects (e.g. digital health)
Position Requirements
- University degree Holder with minimum 5 years relevant Strategy Planning/ Corporate Development/ Consultancy experiences in Healthcare, Retail or FMCG Industry
- Familiarity with retailing/ healthcare in Asia is a must
- A Qualified CPA is a definite advantage
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data, develop succinct analysis and display results in informative ways
- Strong report writing using PowerPoint and Word, as well as verbal communication skills
- Strong technical finance (e.g. accounting, tax) skills, able to extract useful information out of financial statements
- Outstanding model building skills
- Bright, ambitious and out-going individual who speaks excellent English and Mandarin
