Our client is a reputable retail chain with strong presence serving all walks of consumers. They are currently looking for a Associate Creative Director to join their marketing team in Canada.

Report to the top management, the right caliber will be expected to,

Lead and drive the strategies, implementation, and ongoing optimization of an effective, efficient, and innovative branding strategy to accomplish business goals, and long-term objectives. The initial business priorities include but not limited to building and further enhance branding and improve corporate image across the country, provide innovated solutions to promo brand to community, and improve awareness with the most appropriate and effective technology, technique, and campaigns.

  1. Branding Strategy
  • Develop and drive branding strategy tied to long term company plans
  • Shape a unique brand and corporate identity for consumers
  • Lead the department to implement new branding and provide internal training to employees to understand the branding concept
  • Lead and direct creative strategy for all on and offline promotional materials, social events, website and social media, etc
  • Develop branding guidelines and policies, ensure branding concepts are all inline in all departments include employee branding

  1. Social Media
  • Develop strategy to promo consumer branding through social media channels
  • Develop and implement social and communication campaigns to align with branding and marketing strategy
  • Maximize engagement and footprint in social media space
  • Stay and up-to-date with digital technology and social media trend

  1. Communication
  • Ensure articulate of desired image and branding, assure communication of image and branding throughout the company and community
  • Act as the company's representative with the media
  • Coordinate media interest in the company and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate responds to media requests

  1. Customer Relationship Management
  • Plan and deliver CRM strategy across the company to encourage customer retention and loyalty
  • Plan, drive, and utilize Consumer Reward Program
  • Maximize business opportunities through CRM data analyses
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure CRM works effectively for all aspects of the company
  • Oversee direct communication with customers

  1. Leadership
  • Lead, develop, grow, and engage the department
  • Authorize and organize the structure of the department
  • Oversee department budget, performance review, strategic plans and other leadership requirements
  • Ensure that all legal, compliance, and regulatory policies and procedures are understood and embedded into the operations of the team for ongoing compliance

Successful candidates should possess,

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing agencies managing Branding, Digital Marketing, and CRM related projects for FMCG and/or Retail clients; of which recent 5 years working for clients in China
  • Proven track record working in the retail industry with solid understanding of Mainland Chinese consumer behavior and 5+ years experience in online marketing
  • Experience within sizable mass retail chain is highly preferrable
  • Natively fluent in Mandarin and business fluency in English, written and verbally
  • Occasional traveling within Canada may be needed
  • Genuine interest to relocate to Canada (Vancouver or Toronto) without expatriate support
