Our client is a worldwide FMCG, sourcing, wholesale & retail company based in Europe. With their recent expansion in APAC, their regional hub Hong Kong is actively recruiting an energetic candidate for an Accountant, GL position.

Salary: HK$29,000 - HK$33,000 X 13 months

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine GL accounting duties including bank reconciliation, accounts payable & receivables report, monthly customer statements, etc.
• Support to the Seniors to ensure timely completion of month-end closing and financial reporting
• Assist in reconciliation of account balances and preparation of accounting schedules
• Ensure proper document filing and provide support to the department
• Provide general support and services to the Accounting Manager
• Provide cover for other Accountants where necessary
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Manager

Requirements:

• Degree holder in accounting
• Minimum 5-year relevant working experience gained from commercial business (Experience gained from sourcing business is definitely a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
• Pleasant, mature personality, trustworthy
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, team player
• Self-motivated, detailed-minded, and able to work independently
• Good command of verbal & written English and fluency in Mandarin
• Professional and positive attitude
